Frederick County Society of Model Engineers Open House and Exhibit
The FCSME delivers the exciting sights and sounds of big-time railroading inside and outside an unusual 70-foot, six-door Chesapeake & Ohio railroad car. Location is at the rear of 423 East Patrick Street, just east of downtown Frederick, Maryland. The club railroad car houses a HO scale standard- gauge and narrow-gauge operating exhibit. Trains cross bridges, climb hills, slip through long tunnels, and zip by towns on lengthy mainline tracks. Standard-gauge trains work in and out of the large yard while smaller narrow-gauge steam engines zig-zag up and down mountainous terrain. Outside the club car is a large garden sized railroad exhibit. The outdoor exhibit is run weather permitting.
