Compete in the Scents & Sweets Competition

NEW DATE & LOCATION - NEW DATE & LOCATION

The Annual Scents & Sweets Competition has MOVED to Thursday, December 2 at the Cultural Arts Center in Downtown Frederick. Both amateurs and professionals alike are invited to participate in this annual event showcasing the holiday season through sight and smell. All Gingerbread and Floral entries should reflect the general mood of “The Holidays”.

The competition and dessert reception is open to the public and begins at 5:30 pm. Competition winners are decided by a panel of judges and popular vote. The announcement of winners will be at approximately 6:45 p.m. Cash awards will be given for amateur and professional first place finishers in several categories across the competition.

NEW Date - Thursday, December 2
NEW Location - Cultural Arts Center, 15 W. Patrick Street
Time - Doors Open to the Public 5:30 pm / Winners Announced Approximately 6:45 pm

COMPETITION APPLICATION PROCESS
All applications and entry fees must be postmarked by or turned in by Friday, November 5, 2010. Applications can be downloaded here in August 2010 or by calling 30-600-2841. Applications and payments will be accepted:

In Person - The Office of Special Events, 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701. We are located at the Talley Recreation Center in Baker Park.

Via Mail – Mail to The Office of Special Events, 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701, ATTN: Scents & Sweets Competition

ENTRY FEE
A $10 non-refundable entry fee per piece must be submitted with your application.

Cash or Check Payment - Can be delivered or mailed along with your application. Please be sure to checks are made payable to Celebrate Frederick Inc.
Online Payment – NEW IN 2010, entry fees can be paid online using PayPal. PayPal services coming soon!
