When are the performances?
The Summerfest Family Theatre takes place Thursday mornings in June, July and August. The program begins at 10:30 am and generally lasts about one hour.
Are the performances free?
Yes, all performances are free to the public. In lieu of admission, the Summerfest Family Theatre committee asks attendees to bring a canned food item to donate to the Frederick Food Bank. All donations should be brought to the Drees Homes Information Booth.
What age group is Summerfest Family Theatre geared towards?
Summerfest Family Theatre is meant to entertain preschool and early elementary aged children.
Are pets allowed at this event?
Yes, pets are welcome at the Summerfest Family Theatre series. Due to limited space in the seating area directly in front of the bandshell, however, we do ask that all pets are kept in the lawn.

How are entertainers selected for the Summerfest Family Theatre?
The Summerfest Family Theatre volunteer committee begins meeting in January to review promotional packets from groups interested in performing the following summer. Public suggestions are also reviewed prior to selecting a line up.
