The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive musical experience for children by renowned drummer, Devin Walker. Known as “The Children’s Drumcussionist,” he is a national leader in the family music industry. Uncle Devin and 25 other artists are members of the 1 Tribe Collective whose album, “All One Tribe” was GRAMMY-nominated for Best Children’s Music Album in 2022. The entire family will experience the rhythm of Uncle Devin’s infectious blend of Jazz, Funk, and D.C.’s official music, Go-Go.

The show cultivates the minds of children through percussion instruments and is a dynamic cross between D.C.’s Trouble Funk and Schoolhouse Rock. Uncle Devin is also a Teaching Artist with both the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning and Teaching for Change and owner of the children’s online music platform, WEE Nation Radio.

Over the years, Ms. Niki has nurtured students’ talents by creating musical theater programs and leading choirs. Drawing from extensive experience performing and touring abroad, her passion for teaching and music grew with her students and the arrival of her two young children. In 2018, Ms. Niki released her first children’s single, Music in the Air and EP, It’s Music Time with Ms. Niki, featuring interactive educational songs that introduce young children up to eight years old to English and Spanish literacy, colors, sight words, and rhythm and melody in a hip and fun way. With simple and accessible call & response songs, Ms. Niki’s magnetic buttery voice with undertones of gospel, hip hop, and R&B warmly invites children and their caregivers into a shared learning experience. A new age cross between Mary Poppins and Ms. Frizzle, Ms. Niki offers a wide variety of songs, workshops, and performances for kids and kids at heart.
