The Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s Kinder Konzert program introduces young children to the fundamentals of music through live, engaging performances. Students explore concepts such as rhythm, melody, dynamics, and harmony while learning how different instruments work together to create music. Big Brass Barnyard brings these ideas to life with an interactive concert featuring the MSO Brass Quintet. Through playful barnyard themes and bold brass sounds, children are introduced to the unique voices of brass instruments and experience the excitement of live orchestral music in an accessible, memorable way.
