Compete in the Scents and Sweets Competition
We invite you to participate in our annual Scents & Sweets Competition! This event consists of two competitions – gingerbread houses and holiday wreaths. The competition and auction are scheduled for Thursday, November 30th, 2023, at the Delaplaine Arts Center.
Amateurs, professionals, and children are invited to participate in this annual event showcasing the holiday season through sight and smell. All Gingerbread and Wreath entries should reflect the general mood of “The Holidays”.

All applications must be received by the Office of Special Events no later than 4 PM on Friday, November 10th, 2023.
Applications are accepted:
- In Person – The Office of Special Events, 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701. We are located at the Talley Recreation Center in Baker Park, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
